Chun's birthday news!!!

10.10.2007 Liberty Times

Rumours of the Chun-Angela romance continue to burn in light of Wu Chun’s birthday today. As someone who hasn’t celebrated her own birthday for many years and doesn’t celebrate others’ birthdays, Angela actually took pains over Chun’s presents. However, as Chun’s dream birthday present is a Ferrari sports car which costs tens of millions, he said that he dared not hope that someone would buy it for him, saying he would wait until he had earned enough before buying it himself.

Little sister busy making money, thoughtfully prepares presents

Although promotions for RP have stopped and Chun and Angela’s relationship has tapered given their own busy schedules and lack of contact, and despite Angela having to fly to Hong Kong to shoot commercials for Bobson jeans for the second year running which would earn her NT 500,000 and make her miss rumoured boyfriend Chun’s birthday, she has specially prepared three presents, including a T-shirt, Tiger Balm and a mystery birthday surprise for the birthday boy.

During his birthday last year, Chun was tricked and teased by his fellow FRH bandmates; this year, Jiro, Calvin and Arron would also turn up in full force, having prepared a special surprise for him. The three of them reportedly thought long and hard yesterday and could only guess that Chun’s dream present would be a return ticket to Brunei.

Driving his dream car, exhausted to the point of wanting to throw up

Turns out that all three were wrong as Chun’s dream present was a Ferrari sports car, something most people could ill-afford. Chun joked yesterday that during the filming of RP, the film crew rented a Ferrari sports car at a fee of NT 10,000 per day for his driving pleasure. They originally thought that Chun would be able to enjoy the excitement of speed, however, Chun said "There was no feeling of speed, there was only the feeling of wanting to throw up."

As filming wrapped up very late the night before and he had to get up early that morning, the sleep-deprived Chun was feeling very groggy and nauseous as he sat in the car. However, he had to control himself: "Such an expensive car, if I threw up inside, how could I ever compensate for it?!" In the end he could only exert maximum self-control, deriving only a hollow satisfaction from having driven a Ferrari.

Ferrari Polo tee had no place on screen

Being unable to buy a Ferrari, Chun had previously purchased a Ferrari Polo tee from Australia. He had originally wanted to wear it on set for the film, only to hear the director berate: "You’re a wealthy upper-class lad! Take that off!" Chun could only change back to his formal suits obediently. The day before his birthday, Chun still said happily: "Once I have saved enough, I will buy a Ferrari for myself!"
