The Interview with Wu Chun Part I. I think he’s probably the luckiest guy in Brunei to be a superstar internationally. He’s well known as an actor in Taiwan and also a member of the famous boy band Farenheit. And for those who are aware of the Taiwanese drama Hana Kimi and Tokyo Juliet, well, he’s part of the show. How does he managed to juggle as an actor, a singer and a model? I caught up with him at the airport when he was on his way to Sydney for holidays.

Ranz: You studied at RMIT. I studied there too. What course were u taking then? Do you still keep in touch with your friends at Melbourne?
Wu Chun: I study Business admin and graduate with a degree with dinstinction!I seldom contact them anymore but i did went back to tour my uni and brings back so many memories! When i was about to leave RMIT the yesterday, i tell myself how nice if i have the chance to study in Melbourne again as i love the city and i love the people here….Maybeone day, i will be back here to get my master!
Ranz: So being popular in Taiwan, which other region is your band famous at? Or is it different region cater to your drama too?
Wu Chun: At this moment, we have lots of supporters in the countries we have been to such as China, HK, Singapore, Taiwan and I believe many countries know about us and recently, because of my latest drama, Hanakimi which is very popular around the world, I get many supporters even from countries like Brasil, USA, France, Germany and during my trip to Australia this time, I get recognize almost everywhere I go but of course only the Chinese people can recognize me
Actually, it’s really a big surprise because the number of people who recognize me is not little and i am very happy because i am considered a new artist in taiwan showbiz and many thanks to my company for giving me so many good opportunities and also the fans and the media for their support!!!
Ranz: If you had a choice, which will you prefer to focus on - acting or singing??
Wu Chun: I think i will go for acting because when i enter showbiz,my goal is to act in blockbuster action movie with actor like jacky chan…hahaa! However, i start to love singing nowadays as the responds with the fans is very direct and it really motivates us when we are performing on the stage!

Ranz: So with upcoming projects, you will be hardly be in Brunei? Have you ever thought of doing something in Brunei to be part of your future project?
Wu Chun: My wish is to promote brunei tourism as i believe i might have a
little effect to promote Brunei to many chinese around the world!
Ranz: I believe you have your own website. I’m quite amazed you get almost 70,000 readers a day. I only get 2000 .. Is this one way of people/fans reaching you and knowing what you do? Blogging is very popular in Brunei. Where does your visitors normally come from?
Wu Chun: Actually, if you visit at night,my daily visitors is aroung 100,000 and the highest visitors is 250,000 per day and my blog is the number 1 at “Wretch” nowadays. I really make use of it because I think thats the only way for me to communicate with my supporters around the world!

The Interview Part II. This is the second half of the interview with Wu Chun. A friend of mine was envious because I managed to interview him *haha* Anyway, I would like to thank Wu Chun for giving me this opportunity to interview yourself and I hope for you to be more successful than before.
Ranz: This is a personal question but you can choose to answer or not. Are you seeing anyone right now? or ever thought of settling down? Or you too focus on your entertainment career?
Wu Chun: Career is my number goal so i hope i can do a good job on it BECAUSE I sacrifice too much. My business, my family, the not so stressful life in brunei…
Ranz: What awards have you achieved so far?
Wu Chun: We receiver numerous music awards in China and Taiwan and my latest drama is the number one and the most viewed drama in Taiwan and I also get voted as the number 1 rising star in 2006 in taiwan.

Ranz: Any inspiration to how you get to where you are now?
Wu Chun: I think doing the best we can and not being afraid to face any difficulties is my attitude towards my career. Because of my mum’s death, I realised nothing is as hard as the time she went through during the 6 months before she passed away. So to me, nothing else matter. I can face any difficulties now!
Ranz: Does your fans know where Brunei is?
Wu Chun: They start to know and many want to visit to brunei…hahaa!
Ranz: Any last words?
Wu Chun: No pain, no gain. I will do my best and I hope I can do something for Brunei…Support me guys!!!

Wu Chun's Home Address Revealed

Uprising star Wu Chun (吴尊or Wu Zun) from Taiwan boy band Fahrenheit (飛輪海) is extremely unhappy recently after he and other members’ home address have been revealed. Some crazy fans even wait outside his home to see him which disturbs his neighbors’ life.

Wu Chun says that he finds somebody is trying to kook for his home address and even follows him to his home. He wished all supporters who love him and who he loves can respect his privacy.

Wu Chun and his band is said to be the answer to F4. The drama “Hanazakarino Kimitachihe” or “花样少年少女” starring Wu Chun, Ella Chen from S.H.E. and Jiro Wang Dongcheng (汪东城) is the latest hit drama.

Yesterday, "Bao Long" Jerry Yan grabbed the "Most Handsome Man of Taiwan" crown, while Wu Zun came in as very close second. However, 5566's Sam Wang surprisingly defeated Takeshi Kaneshiro in Rank 3, bringing questionable issues on the voting results, and gossipers calling out," How did Sam Wang possibly defeated Takeshi?"

Bao Long votes sharply increased to get the crown, Wu Zhun a close second

A few days ago, Yahoo conducted a 7-day voting poll on "Who is the most handsome man of Taiwan?" Yesterday when it closed, the voting results revealed that Bao Long got 22,448 total votes to grab the crown. while Wu Zun who was in Rank 2 only trailed behind by 2,000 votes. The website revealed that during the first six days of the voting, Wu Zun was the constant lead. It was only last night when Bao Long votes started to swarm in.

What was intriguing was when Sam Wang unexpectedly won over Takeshi. The common clamor was "How come Sam Wang came in to beat Takeshi?" Yesterday, there were even a number of people who sent fax messages requesting "to find out" why Takeshi lost, and recount all votes, regardless on where the votes came from. But Jerry's 60% votes were not all recorded, there were only some blank spaces." however, this statement is not yet confirmed.

On padding of votes, Bao long: doesn't need to

In view of the issues on the counting of votes, Yahoo PR Manager Wu Xiao Lan said that the website didn't have any working relationships with any of the artists and doesn't need to pad their votes. He also stressed that voters should be a Yahoo account user and followed the fair principles in the voting. Bao Long's manager Billy also said," Pad his votes? He doesn't have to !" He said that landing in the first slot will be a tremendous encouragement for Jerry.

Wu Zun and Danson Meets with 200 Fans Before Flying Back to Taiwan

Before flying back to Taiwan, Fahrenheit's Wu Zun and Danson Tang Yu Zhe attended a fan meeting that attracted 200 fans. Other than local fans, Taipei, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Singpore fans were also seen. In order to follow their idol's schedule, it was said that some fans spent countless money to book a hotel room on the same floor as their idol.

During the musical chairs game, Wu Zun used Cantonese to remind the fans to be careful or their butts will get hurt. Danson massaged the shoulders of the female fans that played bowling. Once the two of them walked near the fans for pictures, a big mess occured. The fans that stood behind the railing went crazy and touched all over their bodies. Everyone was only able to calm down when Wu Zun told them to stop pushing.

Wu Zun and Danson arrived at the airport at 7 with a few hundred fans waiting to send them. At the same time, F4's Vanness Wu and Charlie Yeung were getting ready to visit East Africa. Only a few fans were seen sending them off. Wu Zun and Danson were surrounded and needed ten securities to block the fans off. They finally took five minutes to reach the gate. The fans continued to push each other and the gifts from the fans were soon scattered everywhere on the ground. Some fans even sat on the floor and cried, probably because they were able to stand so close to their idol.

Wu Zun Banned by GTV to Enter SETTV Station?

WU ZUN BANNED BY GTV TO ENTER SETTV STATION?

Currently the most popular idol actor and singer, it has been said that Taiwan's popular TV station GTV has banned WU ZUN to enter the doors of SETTV's station.

After Wu Zun's performance in "DONG FANG JU LI YE (Tokyo Juliet)" and "HUA YANG SHAO NIAN SHAO NU (Hana-Kimi)", he quickly became the most popular idol, and lately voting poll functions had proved his immense popularity. Because he is too popular, recently there has been a rumor saying that during the airing times of the idol drama "Hana-Kimi" in both the GTV and CTS channels, Wu Zun could not participate in the variety shows hosted by SETTV. Now since "Hana-Kimi" is finally done airing, the TV programs of SETTV wanted Wu Zun to appear in their show, but in return GTV's higher officials gave them a big fat "NO.

"No matter if Wu Zun's series are still airing or not, he still could not enter SETTV. The competition between idol dramas and variety shows are going strong, which causes the two big TV stations in Taiwan (GTV, SETTV) to have a huge fight. A staff member revealed that before "Hana-Kimi" aired, SETTV's original notice said that it was alright for Wu Zun to come, but after it started the drama had completely defeated SETTV's "AI QING JING JI YUE (Engagement of Love)". As for canceling Wu Zun's appearance at SETTV, there has been many speculations, and most blamed on the hosts.

However, it is not rare to see that the actors being restricted to be invited from the opposing TV stations. Despite this, lately SETTV has said that they wanted to invite Wu Zun to come over, but GTV forbade Wu Zun to go. One of the crew members for the variety show at SETTV said, "The reason why we want to invite Wu Zun has nothing to do with the dramas, it's because of FAHRENHEHIT. The excuse of WANG DONG CHENG (Jiro Wang) not coming because he's busy filming is what we can accept, but now Wu Zun is busy again?

"The deputy director of GTV, LAI CONG BI, was extremely cautious about the issue yesterday when he was interviewed. He stated, "The reason why a certain entertainer cannot appear in certain TV programs is quite hard to explain. All I can say is that GTV has no right to forbid any entertainer from attending TV programs from any other TV channels.

"SETTV's PR deputy director ZHANG ZHENG FEN stated that handling these notices usually will not require the higher officials participation and it is usually handled by the production crew. She said that she had never heard of SETTV forbidding Wu Zun to come and also never heard of that Wu Zun being restricted to be invited.

Wu Zun's management company, Comic, said that she does not know that GTV would not allow Wu Zun to appear in SETTV's variety shows. Previously when the drama was still airing and how Wu Zun was restricted by SETTV to attend its variety shows, she had no other reactions and replied, "Well that's good. Before when his first album was released he helped "WAN CHUAN YU LE" a lot. Now Wu Zun has no specific notices and that is because right now it is not the time for any more promotions. When the second album arrives he will appear again."
