Fahrenheit, Cyndi Wang Endorses Clothes Band; Fahrenheit's Popularity Dominates Cyndi Wang

On May 9th, Taiwanese idols FAHRENHEIT (Wu Zun, Calvin Chen, Jiro Wang, Arron Yan) and WANG XIN LING (Cyndi Wang) appeared in Guang Zhou for a clothes endorsement function for Cardero. Although Cyndi Wang appeared a total of two times - the first to appear at the press conference and appeared again near the end to sing - Fahrenheit's fans still dominated the venue. However, not only the fans, but also the media, for their focuses were mainly on Fahrenheit as well.

Fahrenheit Beats Cyndi

Fahrenheit has established in less than a year and they are already hailed as one of the more popular boy bands in Asia. From starring in the idol dramas "KO One" and "Hana-Kimi", they have already heated up many fans in Mainland China. The most popular out of the four is most definitely Wu Zun: with a handsome appearance and healthy image. He has attracted many female fans. Cyndi Wang's popularity is also not that far behind. When she first debuted she was termed as the "cute master" and has released 6 albums and also starred in many idol dramas. However after Fahrenheit's debut Cyndi's popularity had since been threatened and embarassed. Although Cyndi has kept a polite image, the media were still not as interested in her as they were in Fahrenheit. Cyndi only answered a few questions while Fahrenheit dominated the whole press conference. She therefore had no choice but to sit alone being neglected. The host saw that Cyndi was being neglected and therefore tried to stir the media to ask her more questions, such as mentioning her new song. Cyndi also appeared twice to sing her new song towards the end of the conference but the attention were still mainly glued to Fahrenheit.

Wu Zun Stands Alone

During the interview, it was obvious that Jiro Wang, Calvin Chen, and Arron Yan were rather neglected, for Wu Zun was the hot topic. The shy Wu Zun was forced to stand alone. Several times some female reporters tried to force an answer out of Wu Zun. Since Calvin Chen and Arron Yan were being neglected, they had no choice but to have a little conversation with each other in their own. Days ago Fahrenheit were rumored to have been neglecting Wu Zun because of his popularity. When Wu Zun was forced to answer questions, he didn't seem to want to talk about his own jobs outside of Fahrenheit such as questions concerning if he'll film new movies with CHOW SING CHI (Stephen Chow) or CHUNG YAN TUNG (Gillian Chung). When Wu Zun was asked if he was scared that Fahrenheit's popularity will drop soon due to the consistent promotions of new popular boy bands, Wu Zun didn't know how to answer and left the question for the other three to answer. The other three explained that having competition is something what they expected, and as a group the goal they need to achieve now is to be constantly improving.

When Wu Zun were once again asked by reporters of his future collaboration with Stephen Chow or EEG, Wu Zun reluctantly answered, "No. We met just for a chat." When more questions were asked Wu Zun mumbled quietly and reluctantly and didn't want to be put on the spot. Seeing Wu Zun's situation, Jiro Wang immediately answered and joked, "Actually the reason why Wu Zun went to Hong Kong is because I wanted him to get me Stephen Chow's signature." Jiro also explained that Wu Zun is currently busy filming a new drama with Angela Chang and will not have the time to accept more films.

Fahrenheit and Cyndi Wang in Guangzhou as spokesman; Everyone Crazy for Wu Zun

Wu Zun's charm is not only limited to Fahrenheit now! Fahrenheit's Wang Dong Cheng (Jiro Wang), Wu Zun, Chen Yi Ru (Calvin Chen), Yan Ya Lun (Arron Yan) and along with sweetie-pie Cyndi Wang were in Guangzhou on May 9th to act as spokesmen for clothing line Cardarno and do promotional activities. Before the event even started, many female reporters were competing for seats because of Wu Zun, and even requested to be seated at the front row in order to get up-close to him. Moreover, many screams by fans at the event were all centered on Wu Zun as well, making the rest of Fahrenheit's Jiro Wang, Calvin Chen, Arron Yan and Cyndi Wang feel left out.

First at the event to meet the fans was Wang Xin Ling (Cyndi Wang), but could not draw enough interest from the media. Even if there was, they were more concerned with Fahrenheit. When asked among Fahrenheit who was more handsome, Cyndi Wang cleverly remarked that it was not appropriate to comment on who was more handsome, because each of them have their own supporters. Talking about what's in line for her schedule, Cyndi Wang, who has just released a new album, will be going to China for her album promotional activities. Being 'left out in the cold', Cyndi Wang sang her a small part of her new song 'Ai De Tian Ling Ling' and thus ended the interview.

Calvin and Arron chatting.

The interview with Cyndi Wang has just ended, however it was a totally different scene among the fans. Many fans who were here to see Fahrenheit kept pushing and squeezing. Seeing that their popularity was so overwhelming, it made Fahrenheit very glad when they appeared. Nevertheless, when being interviewed, Jiro Wang, Calvin Chen and Arron Yan were obviously neglected. Though Wu Zun was shy and does not really grab chances to answer questions, most of the female reporters directed the questions at Wu Zun only and he had no choice but to answer, in the end Calvin Chen and Arron Yan chatted with each other to kill time. Recently, there were rumours that the other three members were not on good terms with Wu Zun. Though it wasn't known if he does not want to affect their mood, when Wu Zun was 'forced' to answer questions, he did not want to comment on his own individual activities which does not involve the rest of Fahrenheit; such as whether Wu Zun will be acting in Stephen Chow's drama, or whether he will be filming a movie together with Ah Jiao (Gillian Chung of Twins) etc. Reporters also noted that the fate of Taiwan's idol groups are constantly changing very quickly, they asked Wu Zun if he was worried that Fahrenheit may fall out of the entertainment circle. Wu Zun then pushed the question to the other Fahrenheit members. They indicated that for a group to keep growing, they must always improve themselves, and mentioned that they will always compete with each other, so they are not worried that their career will go downhill at all.
